My Story

Shifra Wylder is a Boston native who got her start at the New England School of Art & Design.

At nineteen, she traded clam chowdah for California sunshine to pursue a modeling career and worked as a production artist in advertising.

Later, Shifra earned a degree in Psychology and became an addictions counselor, guiding and empowering individuals toward healing in Malibu’s treatment facilities.

These days, Shifra wears many creative hats. She’s an abstract expressionist painter and author (not to mention a self-proclaimed recovering perfectionist).

She offers art workshops that blend counseling tools with artistic exploration, providing a safe space for healing and self-discovery.

When she’s not covered in paint, Shifra channels her talent into writing short story memoirs, poetry, storytelling, photography and her latest passion: creating and publishing Cotton Ball in the Wind, a practical, easy-to-read guidebook designed to inspire unconventional creative thinkers to gain clarity and better understand themselves.

Her life might seem like a patchwork quilt of careers, but Shifra sees it as a masterpiece in progress, one brushstroke at a time.
